JET Karting is the Chicago Suburbs Best Karting Experience

Not your standard "bumper cars," these karts are capable of over 45 mph, evenly matched to make the driver the most crucial part of the equation. These Italian karts are true racing machines. Dice it up on Chicagolands’s best karting track. Measuring in at over a half mile long, this professional road course is designed to reward drivers for using smooth hands and a cool head. With fast sweepers, hairpin turns and elevation changes, it’s no wonder that Concept Haulers Motor Speedway in Norway, IL is a many time host of karting National Championships.

YHC's

We have been asking for a few weeks what racers thought about allowing YHC's to run in the Pro Race classes with MG Yellows.  You responded.  The racers overwhelmingly asked to allow both MG Yellows and YHC's in nightly and season points.  Therefore, starting at our next Pro Race on July 11, YHC's will be allowed for nightly and season points in select classes.

A few points to remember:

Track repair pics

Yesterday's repair of  the asphalt in turn 4, grid exit, and garage apron is completed, and went well.  We are open again, although have moved the apex of turn 4 out a few feet to keep karts off the patch.  Once the patch is done curing, we'll have a very smooth turn.

Track Closed Monday - Repairing Turn 4

We have talked about fixing turn 4 last fall, and said we'd fix it when the schedule worked with the asphalt company.  It works this Monday, June 29.  This means the track will be closed all day Monday, June 29.

Also, turn 4 will be narrowed up for the rest of the week to keep karts from running on the inside few feet.  We will let you know how long this will last, but we expect it to be a week.  You'll still be able to get on-track for practice, but turn 4 will obviously be slow.

Sr. Supercan revolution!

For the past couple seasons, our Sr. Supercan class been pretty much gone.  This season has shown more interest in the class, and we would like to give it a jumpstart.

We are offering a half price entry package for the last 5 Pro Races of the season.  This would be an entry pre-purchase for August 8, 15, 22, 29, and September 26 - all for $100.  Having the entries in early  allow us to rebuild the racer confidence that there will be a class, and gives the racer some cost savings.  Who doesn't like that?

Night Race - June 27

This weekend we'll have our first night race of the season.  All schedule times are pushed 4 hours later, so make sure you plan accordingly.  Spec Racers will be racing as one of the classes in rotation and not at the end of the night, so should be ready for group practice at 4pm.

Tire opinions needed

We have been hearing racers ask about allowing Bridgestone YHC's to run here.  This may allow current racers to use up tires from regional/national racing, and allow racers from other tracks to visit us easier.

After looking over the situation, it seems there are three options that could be taken, and we'd like to hear from ALL the racers how they would like to move forward.  We can then decide the best route.

Starting Light Raised

A couple weeks ago, racers let us know that it was difficult to see the starting light in the rear of the grid.  Too many helmets were in the way.

This week we were able to get the light moved taller on the pole, and think the problem should be solved.  Let us know what you think after this weekends race.
