Driver Academy

Driver Academies provide one-on-one instruction for drivers of  all experience levels.  Our Intro to Karting classes include race kart rental and safety equipment, while racers with their own karts receive coaching on the specific areas they need help. In all courses, methods of self critique are strongly emphasized to allow learning and progress to be made even after class.  Our one on one instructional style recognizes that no two students make the same progress, and allows everyone to quickly move through topics you already understand while spending more time on new techniques.  Pairing up with one of your friends for a class is possible, however, more than two drivers at a time is discouraged.  Parents and other crew members are welcome to be involved, as this helps during practice in the following weeks.

Intro to Karting I - $230

OVERVIEW- Spec Racer kart, 2 hour course, 50 minutes on-track.

This class uses the Spec Racer kart for 2 hours of instruction. Beginning with the fundamentals of kart racing, this course will cover the racing line, brake application, turn-in, and throttle application. Students will understand the importance of corner exit speed, and be able to apply these ideas to lower lap times. With 50 minutes of track time, this is a great course to experience karting.
 

Intro to Karting II - $350

OVERVIEW - Spec Racer and Rotax karts, 3 hour course, 60 minutes on-track.

Using both the Spec Racer kart as well as a 30hp Rotax kart, drivers receive instruction at the highest levels of karting. This 3 hour course covers the same topics as Intro to Karting I, but allows the driver to apply these techniques to the significantly faster Rotax kart as well. Drivers will spend 20 minutes in a Spec Racer, and 40 minutes of track time in the Rotax.
