Unsportsmanlike Behavior
We have noticed, been informed of, and been involved with some incidents that should be considered 'unsportsmanlike'.
Good sportsmanship includes elements of understanding and forgiveness. It is definitely possible to battle for position and win without disrespecting fellow racers, track staff, or spectators - either on or off the track.
Being disrespectful, disruptive, or out of control in a way that is viewed by others to be unsportsmanlike will be treated in the following manner:
- First warning will be radioed to all track staff. You will be carefully watched from that point. In the case of junior drivers or minor spectators, parents will be informed of the warning.
- Racers lose grid position and will start the next event from the back of the pack. Non-racers will lose Hot Grid pass and Grid priviledges for the remainder of the event.
- Eviction from the event.
If there is a difference of opinion, protest, or complaint, it can and will be heard. Simply voice your concern respectfully to any available track official. They will either get you an answer or direct you to the proper outlet.
