Race Day Attitudes - Opinions needed
In asking for input for the 2009 season, we received several comments on the attitudes shown around the track. Most of the time racers come and have a great time - on and off the track. Occasionally we see tempers flare after the scale or in the pits.
This isn’t a good deal for anyone.
We need to fix the hot tempers, and we would like your help to do it. We are asking all racers to be sure that drivers and crew are level headed and calm. Disagreements will happen, and there are positive ways to handle them.
In the past we haven’t had an established penalty if the situation digresses to yelling, cussing, or other aggressive behavior. We need your input as to what penalties should be for 2009. Current inputs now are running toward driver DQ for the single race that driver or crew was out of line, with penalties increasing for multiple problems.
