Tire opinions needed
We have been hearing racers ask about allowing Bridgestone YHC's to run here. This may allow current racers to use up tires from regional/national racing, and allow racers from other tracks to visit us easier.
After looking over the situation, it seems there are three options that could be taken, and we'd like to hear from ALL the racers how they would like to move forward. We can then decide the best route.
Any decision made would be for 12-15 and 15+ classes. Kid Karts currently have open tires, and Sportsman drivers use the MG HZ tire both here and at WKA races. We don't see a compelling reason to change that. This would affect all of the classes currently running the MG Yellow; Yamaha Junior, Yamaha Supercan, HPV Heavy, TAG, and TAG Masters.
The options as we see them are:
- Continue with an MG tire rule, and not allow Bridgestone tires at all.
- No change to the MG tire, but Bridgestone YHC's would be allowed for nightly points. Only MG tires would accumulate season points.
- The current MG tire and Bridgestone YHC would be treated equally, with both earning nightly and season points.
Send us an email and let us know what you think. We would like to hear from all our current racers and many that would like to race with us.
