YHC's

We have been asking for a few weeks what racers thought about allowing YHC's to run in the Pro Race classes with MG Yellows.  You responded.  The racers overwhelmingly asked to allow both MG Yellows and YHC's in nightly and season points.  Therefore, starting at our next Pro Race on July 11, YHC's will be allowed for nightly and season points in select classes.

A few points to remember:

• This only affects classes that currently run the MG Yellow.  Yamaha Junior, Yamaha Supercan, HPV Heavy, TAG, TAG Masters.
   
• The other classes won't change.  Kid Kart is open tire already.  Rookie and Sportsman classes will stay spec MG HZ to conform to WKA national rules.  Spec Racer stays OEM or MG IR tires.  Rotax continues with MOJO spec.
   
• YKC's will not be allowed at this time.  We are watching to see how performance settles out in order to make the right decision.  Allowing a significantly faster tire into the group would hurt the racer by making other compounds obsolete.  As more races are run on the tire, we will better understand how the YKC's stack up.
