Yeah, we didn't really like the weather this weekend either.  The snow is pretty much gone, and the track is ready to run on now.  But still, spring is coming, right?

This has brought around a lot of questions about what weather would still run, and what would cancel the race next weekend?

We do everything we can to race under dry tire conditions.  Although the weatherman will be predicting bad weather for a lot of the events, we rarely have a season that rains out more than one event.

Poking around the web today, I found a new site from the U.K. about using your MyChron data logger.  There are THOUSANDS of ways to use your MyChron to make you faster, and Kart Intelligence explains the ways better than any site I've seen to date.  Having done most of this myself, I know there are few strong reference places to find, web or print. 

We are now 3 weeks from our first race, and the weekend weather looks to be very good.  Weather.com is calling 51 and sunny for Sat, and 55 and sunny for Sunday.

Soooo, we'll see you out here, right?

We have a new season pass available.  This one is to rent a transponder for all 15 races for $100

After realizing this was the only recurring expense that we didn't have a pass for, we made one.  Drop us an email if it's something that would suit you.

That's it.  Just one more month.  And the '09 racing season begins!

In asking for input for the 2009 season, we received several comments on the attitudes shown around the track.  Most of the time racers come and have a great time - on and off the track.  Occasionally we see tempers flare after the scale or in the pits.

This isn’t a good deal for anyone.

We need to fix the hot tempers, and we would like your help to do it.  We are asking all racers to be sure that drivers and crew are level headed and calm.  Disagreements will happen, and there are positive ways to handle them.

We have published the rules for the Spec Racer class.  With a lot of interest in the class, and close racing fueled by equal equipment, this is going to be a great season.

The shop will be closed Friday Feb. 20 through Sunday Feb. 22. Kris and I will be at the RV & Camping Show at Rosemont starting Wednesday, and Les and Diann will be at the Kart Expo Saturday and Sunday.Make sure you stop in to say hi if you'll be attending either show!

Just a reminder to drivers that finished Top 3 in 2008 Season Points...March 15 is the deadline to use Season Pass certificates.  If you finished First - you earned 50% off a 'Pro Race, Entries' Pass.  Second Place earned 30% off, and Third earned 20% off.  These are transferable to any class that you would like to run for 2009.
