Points Race - Clone Rules

- Clutch
- Must be a shoe type clutch. Any stamped drum clutch allowed. No machined drums allowed. No disc clutches allowed.
- Fuel Tank
- Must be floor mounted
- Chassis
- Standard sprint chassis per WKA tech specs section 201.1 to 201.12
- Bodywork
- CIK style only
- Exhaust
- RLV Header #5436c, RLV sillencer #4100, RLV Clamp #4140. Header must be fully wrapped with heat/flame retardant material to within 1.5" of silencer attachment.
- Fuel Pump
- Any pulse type fuel pump allowed.
- Fuel
- 87 Octane pump gas from Norway Store across from the track, purchsed on morning of race. Track will purchase the same fuel to use as a test sample.
- Oil
- Any commercially available oil. No additives allowed. Subject to sniffer or flame test.
- Engine
- Any 6.5 hp OHV 4-cycle clone engine allowed meeting the following specs are legal for competition. No machining or alteration of parts allowed, unless specifically noted. All parts will be subject to comparison of a known factory production stock part within +/- .005" tolerance. Any and all parts are subject to visual tech at the discretion of the tech official. Engine to be teched as raced.
- Claim
- There is a $200 claiming rule in place. The $200 claim fee must be submitted to the Race Director before the start of the feature event. The claimed engine must pass post tech inspection to be deemed legal. Any competitor participating in the class will be allowed to claim two (2) engines per season. Refusing to accept the claim will result in immediate disqualification of competitor along with forfeiture of any points earned to date in class. Any engine found to be altered or illegal in post tech inspection will be subject to immediate disqualification of competitor along with forfeiture of any points earned to date in class.
- Carburetor
- Stock Huayi or Rui*ing model carburetor only. No Honda carbs. Carburetor to intake surface gasket only, no sealer allowed. Choke must be as supplied from factory, but may be fixed in the open position. Emulsion tube to remain stock, .064" no-go. Choke bore, .810" no-go. Venturi, .615" no-go. rear carb bore, .751" no-go. Main jet, .050" maximum size. Low speed jet, .019" no-go.
- Compustion Chamber Volume
- 26.6 cc minimum with piston at TDC.
- Recoil Starter
- Must be installed and in working order.
- Cylinder Head
- Must be OEM casting only. no porting or grinding allowed. Valve seats have 2 angles, 45 degree valve face and 30 degree top relief. Must use four stock head bolts. head gasket must be stock configuration with a minimum thickness of .010". No sealer allowed on gasket.
- Bore and Stroke
- Stock cylinder bore is 2.685" maximum. Stroke is 2.123" +/- .005".
- Valve Cover
- Stock valve cover only. Fittings may be added for fuel pump pulse tube and oil catch can tube.
- Push Rods
- Factory stock only. Subject to visual tech.
- Rocker Arms
- Factory stock arms in stock posistion and configuration only. Subject to visual tech. 1:1 ratio only.
- Valve Springs
- Factory stock springs only. Maximum wire diameter .071" with maximum spring tension of 10.8 lbs at a height of .850".
- Valve Spring Retainers
- factory Stock with minimum thickness of .088" intake and .060" exhaust.
- Valves
- Factory stock valves only with 45 degree angle only on both valves.
- Ignition System
- Stock unaltered ignition system only. Oil sensor may be disabled and removed. Kill switch may be disabled.
- Flywheel
- Stock flywheel only with plastic fins. Nno alteration of any type allowed. Plastic fan assembly is a tech item and will be compared to a stock assembly. Minimum weight less plastic fins is 8.2 lbs.
- Flywheel Key
- Must be used in stock location and unaltered. Minimum thickness is .156". No offset keys or modified keys allowed.
- Piston and Rings
- Must be unaltered stock only. No oversize piston or rings allowed. All rings must be intact and functional.
- Connectin Rod
- Stock clone connecting rod only. No machining or any type allowed. Stock rod bolts only.
- Crankshaft
- Stock crankshaft required. Machining, polishing, addition or deletion of material, or any other alteration of crankshaft is prohibited. Factory stock timing gear mandatory and must be installed in original location. Stroke length is 2.126" or 54mm. Crankshaft journal diameter is 1.175" minimum.
- Camshaft
- Stock as cast camshaft only. Max running lift on exhaust is .242 measured on valve spring retainer with zero lash. Maximu running lift on intake is .238" measured on valve spring retainer with zero lash. No twisting of cam allowed.

Special Note: Valve guide wear can give false readings when checking off the front of the valve spring retainer. It is advised to take readings at several other points around the retainer if wear is suspected of giving false or questionable reading. - Block
- Must remain stock as produced. Stub for governor may be removed and hole plugged. No machining of block allowed. Welding of block to repair block for rod damage only.
- Rule Changes
- All specs may be adjusted as season progresses if needed. Any changes to the techincal rules will become effective three (3) weeks from notification of such change.
